A new Russia fund from Prosperity Capital Management

Some Finnish investors may be familiar with Prosperity as they manage the Russian Prosperity Fund that is marketed in Finland by Seligson & Co.

The new fund:

Prosperity Quest II

Overview

Prosperity Capital Management are currently preparing to launch a recovery and restructuring investment vehicle that will focus on generating long-term capital appreciation and alpha returns for its investors by combining low valuations with active corporate restructuring.

Strategy

Prosperity Capital Management will seek to build large stakes in fundamentally sound firms, that are accessible at favorable valuations and/or valued below fundamental value. The Manager will push for consolidations and seek to actively manage the portfolio, before seeking strategic and/or dynamic exits.

A Dagens Industry article(in Swedish) on the subject:
Prosperity sätter Rysslandsfond på börsen

This looks like a very atypical Russia-focused fund, which got me interested. PCM has got a pretty good track with its other funds so I might buy me some QII.
The fund is due to be listed on the Stockholm Stock exchange in mid July.
