36 NOK per KG

Salmon prices are still high and the spot price for farmed Norwegian salmon is around 36 NOK. Salmar, a competitor of SSC reported their quarterly numbers on Friday, which were quite good and Scottish subsidiary performed well:

SCOTTISH Sea Farms (SSF) has reported operating revenue of £25 million (NOK 238.7) in the third quarter of 2010.

This resulted from sales of 3,100 tonnes of salmon during the quarter from their sites on the west coast of Scotland, the Orkneys and Shetland. SSF generated an operating profit before fair value adjustment of the biomass of £6.7 million (NOK 63.0 million) and a margin per kg gutted weight of £1.08 (NOK 10.19).

SSC releases the q3-results on 25th of November. If the dividend of 0.19 NOK is paid biannually SSC's yield is atm about 8%.
